The House
A hamlet, reawakened.
Villa Storia began as a shepherd's hamlet above Ftelia. Its thick walls and weathered surfaces were kept; what was added came slowly, and from elsewhere.
The house is composed of several volumes linked by patios and gardens, so that moving through it always means passing through open air.
The Patios
Sheltered courtyards where the day is spent: coffee at dawn, shade at noon, candles after dark.
The Living Rooms
Low sofas, handwoven rugs, ceramics and books. Rooms that invite you to stay put.
The Bedrooms
Calm, cool and generous, each opening onto the garden or the sea horizon.
Water
A heated pool, a stone basin and a hammam — water accompanies every part of the day.
The Gardens
Olive trees, cacti and lemon trees, arranged as pauses between the buildings.
The Long Table
Set outside under the pergola, for lunches that drift into late afternoon.
Lived in, all year.
In summer the house opens entirely. In spring, autumn and winter it turns inward: fewer people, softer light, more time. The architecture stays the same; only the pace changes.
